"Both as a wrestling coach and as a college professor I never knew a cleaner or finer young man than Tyler Phipps. He was an excellent wrestler and a model of strength and courage, integrity and discipline, but much more important, he was a model of Christian character and godly young manhood. His presence among us brought the team a sense of the goodness and holiness of the God we were trying to honor as Christian athletes. He made us better wrestlers and better men."
